Our tours are carefully developed and scripted, giving guides the structure and information they need while allowing their own personality and storytelling style to come through.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and informative walking tours of key landmarks, places of note, and historical sites in your city.
- Share captivating stories, anecdotes, and facts about your home, history, culture, and architecture from a predesigned script, bringing the material to life with your own personal flair.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing questions, and ensuring a positive experience for all.
- Safely lead tour groups along a preset tour route, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure tour logistics and scheduling run smoothly.
- Stay up-to-date with current events, attractions, and developments to enhance tour content.
- Recommend activities for guests to do both in and outside of your tour location, including other walking tours for people looking to learn more.
Requirements
- Reliable, trustworthy, and honest.
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills with a native level of English language.
- Able to learn and deliver a scripted tour to groups of varying sizes, while keeping the delivery engaging, natural, and personal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage diverse groups of people.
- A local’s knowledge of geography, landmarks, historical significance, quirks, attractions, and activities.
- A willingness to learn, take feedback, and continually improve your guiding and performance skills.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.'
